The post holder is responsible for the provision of efficient and effective administrative, financial and facilities support. He/she will be responsible for the timely management of British Council premises and resources to high quality standards, obtaining value for money that results in a safe, clean and professional operating environment, accurate recording of accounting transactions and adjustments, ensuring all corporate and audit standards are achieved. S/he will render support with human resources administration tasks ensuring proper record keeping in country.

Overall the post-holder will focus on:

•Exams coordination and support
Main duties will include:
•Provision of efficient and effective administrative, financial and facilities support Financial management
•Support with human resources administration tasks ensuring proper record keeping in country
•In support to the Senior Accountant for Sierra Leone and Senegal, to maintain office accounting systems.
•Manage the procurement process and supplier negotiations/relations for the Sierra Leone operation.
•Support Exams as required by the country office to ensure an efficient management of Exam confidential materials
Requirements and Qualifications:
•Recognized management or administrative qualification.
•Proven understanding and experience of financial management and administration.
•Strong experience of an Enterprise Resource Planning system.
•Proven experience of working in the non-governmental or not-for-profit sectors
•Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
•Must be well-organized, adaptable, self-starter, with great attention to detail and good communication skills.
•Demonstrable ability to create shared purpose, connect with others, work together, make things happen, be accountable and shape the future.
